Amazon EC2 is a planned deployment target for Amara 2.0. This means that we will maintain an image that includes all that's needed for Amara 2 development. Other xml3k projects might target the same. This is a page to gather notes on such.
Amara 2.0
As of March 2008 Amara 2.0 is really 4Suite-HEAD plus Amara 1.2. Here are EC2 set-up notes, once you have an instance running:
Tested on Small Instance (the default)
i.e.:
- 1.7 GB memory
- 1 EC2 Compute Unit (1 virtual core with 1 EC2 Compute Unit)
- 160 GB instance storage (150 GB plus 10 GB root partition)
- 32-bit platform
- I/O Performance: Moderate
